Video Crazy

Our weather is going a bit crazy today.  We have had a little bit of everything today, some sun, dark clouds, rain, and hail.  Only thing we have not experienced is warmth.  So far it has hailed 3 times and Addy has loved playing in it each and every time.  Here is a video of the hail:
Since I am not daring enough to leave the house, we have had danced, colored, read, and watched movies in our pjs.  Very nice way to spend a Sunday.  So for our second video, Addy dancing and singing with her favorite song, I Love You Like A Love Song by Selena Gomez.
Sorry they are not super exciting, but it does give you a glimpse into our Sunday!

Some new "stuff"

I have changed a few things on the blog that I am excited about so I wanted to point them out.  First, you can see my current picture of the day on the top right.  If you want to access my whole 365 project, you can click on the Shuttercal (the square) logo in the bottom right corner of the picture.
Right below my picture of the day is a box for your email address. If you put your email in the box, you will be emailed updates on the blog.  Easy way to stay in touch with what we are doing.
Enjoy!

Cousin Breakfast

My cousins, Justin & Brad, were visiting from Arizona for Kay's birthday party so we decided to do a breakfast the morning after. Alison hosted and it was so fun to see all of the kids playing with each other.  While I always miss my cousins, having them here for the morning made me miss them even more.  Just one more reason for us to head to Arizona every so often.

Kay's 50th Birthday

For Kay's 50th birthday, my Uncle Dick planned a beautiful party at the Park Hyatt Aviara.  Alison helped with the details and my mom asked me to take pictures.  Rather than just take plain old portraits, I brought a "whiteboard" (aka a picture frame with a piece of white paper & some markers made for glass) for guests to write messages to Kay.  Then for her present, we are giving Kay a book with all of the pictures.  Since she does not have her book yet, I am going to share with you some of the pictures, but not all of them.  Enjoy!

Friends

At her very young age, Addy is very lucky to have two great friends.  Addy, Charli, & Micah make me smile every single time they are together and it has been so fun to see them grow together.  A couple of weeks ago we were at a work party together and the girls had a blast running all over the yard.  They chased each other, yelled each others names, and copied each other.  I must also admit, they were the hit of the party with all of our co-workers. I cannot help but smile watching these three beauties.
Isn't Micah's "cheese" face the best?!?  Love it!

2

Addy is officially two.  Crazy enough, she turned 2 almost three weeks ago and boy can we not forget it.  The terrible twos have definitely hit our house with a boom, crash, and bang.
We celebrated Addy's birthday at a nearby park with 30 of our closest family and friends.  Despite a chilly wind, the weather was great and I think everyone had a great time.  The kids played in the sand, swung, went down the slides while the adults relaxed in the shade.

Of course, there was food too.  Pizza, green salad, fruit salad, and lots of chips & dip.  And we must not forget the cupcakes.  We had Mexican chocolate cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, salted caramel cupcake with salted caramel butter cream frosting, & chocolate chip with chocolate frosting.
Dora Cupcake Holder. The party was Dora the Explorer themed, chosen by the birthday girl.
 "Happy birthday to you..."
Addy is one lucky girl.  She not only had a party, surrounded by her favorite people, but she also was spoiled rotten with presents.  She received WAY more presents than any child should get in one day but she has already enjoyed all of them.

Overall, I think they day went well.  Love bug seemed to have a good time and hopefully everyone else did too.  We are so very, very lucky to have so many special people in our lives.  I cannot even begin to explain how full my heart was after Addy's party.  A huge thank you to those of you who were able to celebrate with us!
